a lot of 的正式语？

a lot of的正式用语是many和much.前者用于修饰可数名词，后者用于修饰不可数名词。例如 There are many apples on the tree.意思是树上有很多苹果，这里的apple是可数名词用many修饰。

又例如There is no much water In the reservoir in summer 意思是水库在夏天没有很多的水，这里的water是不可数名词用much修饰。
